Oy Steaks

I had high expectations of this steakhouse, which were MOSTLY met. The taste was very, very good. However, they couldnt get the temperature right, which is a shame. I ordered a medium steak but the steak was medium well. I was too hungry and fortunately it tasted so good, so i didnt return it, even though the staff was nice enough to ask me that they can cook another one. I would have given them 5 stars had they got the doneness right. But as i said earlier, the taste was amaaaaazing. Probably the tastiest steak i have had in Islamabad. The garlic as a side was a revelation. Fries were also nice and crispy. The serving size was very generous as well. I will try them again in the hope they can get doneness right the next time. The spot itself is located in a rather isolated place. And the ambiance wasnt the best. But i was there for the steak and it mostly delivered.

before i write a review i’ll let people know some facts that are not clearly mentioned anywhere, on the insta page or google. they only have one item on their menu, tenderloin steak, it’s a fixed price of 7500 before 10 pm, and 6500 after 10, they have sides such as fries and buttered garlic for free, sauces are also free. now as for the taste, the steak was really nice, it was nothing out of the world but it was tasty. fries are a must try, one of the best fries i’ve eaten. really well seasoned. sauces are also phenomenal, peppercorn sauce is gonna definitely be one of my new favorites. all in all, food quality is good. menu is obviously very limited, but i don’t blame them, i guess they try to perfect one dish. service is really good too, waiters are all well trained and very respectful, the owner himself omar bhai is also a sweet man, he comes to each table personally to explain the menu and check your understanding. ambiance is nothing crazy, its okay, but no complaints. the restaurant is in the middle of nowhere, so there’s no nearby shop or markaz, if you make a trip here, it’ll be the only thing you should be going to do. lastly, it is really expensive, it’s at least 8k per head, if you include drinks and tax, which is well above islamabad prices, but i’d say it’s 70-80% worth the price, i personally wouldn’t go again due to the price, but it’s a must try once at least.

As always, brilliant food, brilliant ambiance and amazing service. Very few places do the steak right and OY steak is at the very top of it in Islamabad. I don't think any other steak house can do as good of a job as these lot. The chimichuri sauce has been improved significantly from the last time I visited. This means they take feedback seriously which is great to know.
